A SCRIPTURE A DAY

November 29

Proverbs 11:26 (KJV)

He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

Tom’s Thoughts

Some investors buy and hold commodities until a shortage causes the price to sky rocket, and then they release the product for an absorbent price. This causes a hardship on people who cannot afford it. The above verse means that people will curse, or hate the man, or corporations who will not sell for a decent price, but instead takes advantage of people in hard times, for gain. God will bless those who treat people fairly.

Deuteronomy 25:14-16 (KJV) Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small. 15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 16 For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
