God wants us to depend on Him for everything. He never intended that we make the journey without Him by our side. There are many ‘how to do it yourself’ books on the market today. The world’s philosophy is do it yourself; be independent. However, God created us with a God shaped vacuum in our hearts that only God can fill. Until Jesus comes into our hearts and fills that vacuum, we are lost and are always aware that something is missing in our lives. We are never happy and complete without the Lord, and Jesus is the only way to heaven.

Psalm 28:7 (KJV) The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
